- Account information: email address and authentication credentials.
- Transaction information: shard purchases, balances, and redemption records. Card payments are processed by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
- Technical information: IP address, device and browser data, and usage logs, collected for security and fraud prevention.
3. How we use information
- To operate your account and maintain your shard balance.
- To process purchases and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To communicate service and account information.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. Sharing
- Payment processor: to process purchases. They handle your card data under their own privacy terms.
- Within our network: when you redeem shards on a site in the PayShards Network, that site accesses only a confirmation that your balance covered the transaction and the minimal account identifier needed to apply your purchase. Your card and billing details are never exposed to our sites.
- Legal: when required by law or to protect the platform, users, or the public.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed for legal, accounting, and fraud-prevention purposes.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices
You may access or update your account information, request deletion of your account, and opt out of non-essential communications, subject to legal and operational limits.
8. Children
PayShards is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
